Many Worlds...One Door

A Fairy Empire, a treaty to bridge worlds, a fortress at the cross roads, and a Warden to open and guard the gates. In each generation there is just one, and to control the Warden is to own all worlds. The Fairy, the Sidhe, the Demon, a dozen civilizations will stop at nothing to seize the Warden and control the Roads. When the warden dies, their Heir ascends.

A Severing...

But in the Age of Victoria, an attack on Dun Adhair left the rightful heir in the hands of the Sidhe court and their Demon hordes. His children, neices, and nephews each a possible heir to his gift, were killed, captured by enemies, or fled into exile.

When the captured Heir died, the Grandaughter identified as his successor could not work the ancient magic. Dun Adhair remained silent fortress no one could enter.

But now Helen's aunt is dead, and Helen is the heir by mortal law. Having lost her mother at birth, and having grown up in the human world, she knows nothing of her heritage, Fairy arrogrance and misogyny, the terrors of Sidhe court, or the torture in Demon prisons.

She knows only that she finally has a home...
